Would you wiki?

it seems to me the primary power of this discussion forum is the collective knowledge, insight and research regarding the jw experience.

i would like to propose that a section of this board be set up and maintained as a wiki-pedia-type reference source regarding various issues.

this would be the next evolution of the "best of" area.

But oppression is not
okay just because the people have false hope. The damage
done to children and depressed ones is absolutely terrible, and
no amount of happiness for the well-adjusted (fully assimilated)
members can justify the damage.

Great Idea, I could really use a referance like that. I'm in favor. I don't know if its doable technically though.

Elders/Former Elders, i'm still receiving teaching assigments. What gives?

i'm a ministerial servant and i've been to only 2 congregation meetings in about 2 and 1/2 months and haven't turned in a field service report for those two months as well.

i've also skipped some assignments within that timeframe.

the elders talked to me last week about possibly removing me because of the ex-fiancee situation, but i'm still being assigned to these parts.

fewer people giving parts = more parts for the remaining individuals giving them. They'll keep you on at all cost because they don't want to do it either.

I think the real answer to the question can be gotten to via another question. Are you happier now than when you were in the org.?

I for one am happier now to know the truth and to be free of the demands of the org. I don't think that many really look forward to paradise anyway, i think that it's another one of those things that we believed because we were indoctrinated to keep looking to the new system.
